The NSCP is a coalition of coalitions and works to build partnerships to create thriving communities in Nevada. The ability to closely work with our communities and bring information together to create a collaborative and meaningful system is our expertise. We work together to evolve and respond to the communities we serve and work in the areas of primary substance misuse prevention by working upstream to address risk and protective factors that contribute to a wide variety of chronic health problems.
The NSCP is the subject matter expert on substance misuse prevention in the state and are ready to support your efforts through partnership today.
Join the Nevada Statewide Coalition Partnership (NSCP) in building thriving communities through substance misuse prevention. We work with schools, local governments, and partners to implement evidence-based programs, support workforce development, and raise awareness through events like Prescription Drug Take Back and Overdose Awareness Day. Together, we address root causes, support recovery, and create healthier futures for Nevada. Get involved with your local coalition today and make a difference!
The NSCP works with the DEA, Nevada Air National Guard, VA, local law enforcement, retail pharmacies, and other partners to hold two RX Take Back days per year. One in October and one in April. Please see the coalition website for your region (link to the map) or the DEA website for updates on dates and locations.
The Coalitions work with their communities to offer opportunities to collectively grieve the loss of loved ones and find community level solutions to overdose deaths. We engage in this through the robust examination of data, facilitating community awareness activities and meeting individuals right where they are with hope for a better future. Get involved by visiting your local coalition.
The Coalitions are dedicated to a non-judgemental and robust science-based approach to individuals who use substances. We believe that by meeting people where they are we can create safe spaces for treatment and recovery, as well as expand community building that holds value in all individuals. This empowering model means that everyone has a role to play in supporting their community.
